Jay Weisleder

Executive Producer / Development

Jay Weisleder is a film and television producer and founder of Fuego Films, an independent production company focused on developing globally driven projects based on compelling intellectual property. 

Born in San José, Costa Rica, he began his career at Sony Music Latin in Miami before moving into concert promotion with major labels and later transitioning into television at Telemundo’s mun2 network. In 2007 he launched Fuego Films and went on to partner with companies such as Electus and Propagate Content, where he served as Head of Scripted Television and oversaw the development and sale of more than 40 scripted projects, including series such as Blood & Treasure (CBS), Charmed (The CW), and Broke(CBS). 

His feature credits include Hands of Stone starring Robert De Niro and Edgar Ramírez and the Imagen Award–nominated comedy My Boyfriend’s Meds. He is currently developing several film and television projects, including the Roberto Clemente biopic Clemente with Teton Ridge, Show Yourself with Amblin TV, and Dead Stock with Paramount Television. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America and lives in Studio City, California with his wife and three sons.
